A huge emergency response was sparked after a car crashed into a building on a main road in Rusholme. Police officers, paramedics and fire crews rushed to the scene on Wilmslow Road, near the start of the Curry Mile, just after midnight this morning (Thursday, October 19).

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said a car crashed into a building, with pictures and video clips showing damage to the front of the Charles Wilson garage.

Police said one person inside the building was 'treated for minor injuries'. The driver of the car - a man aged in his 20s - made his own way to hospital from the scene for treatment.
