tattoo artist had the time of her life making history as she weighed anchor and took her craft to the high seas in a world-first tattoo parlour on a glam cruise ship.Cathy Jo Pothecary has created tattoos for some of the most famous names there are – including Rihanna, Professor Green and Charlotte Crosby – but 2022 saw her make join Virgin Voyages to actually tattoo people out at sea.Aboard the stunning new vessel the Valiant Lady, Cally Jo set to work buzzing away at delighted travellers inside a luxe new tattoo parlour – dubbed Squid Ink in keeping with an ongoing nautical theme.READ MORE: Model defies trolls who call tattoos 'trashy and gross' by baring them in skimpy topShe set sail around the Mediterranean for two weeks from May 22nd, taking in the sights of Barcelona, Ibiza, Cagliari and Cannes in between creating the stunning tattoos she has become famous for.Cally Jo, who has been tattooing since she was 18 years old, told the Daily Star: "It's hard to say what the best part actually was, it was all such an amazing experience."I think just being able to tattoo out at sea, on the ocean, knowing you're going to be waking up in a different country every day – I had to pinch myself every day, it was so good."The draw of knowing she was setting a trend, just a few years after moving back to the UK from Australia, also played its part."It was so awesome to be involved with this, I'm still so happy about it now," said the fine art graduate.
