The proposed Martyn’s Law - campaigned for by the mother of a Manchester Arena attack victim - is set to become law after being included in this year’s King’s Speech.
The law has been fought for by Figen Murray, whose son, Martyn Hett, tragically died in the 2017 bombing — aged just 29. Another 21 people were murdered at the concert that day.
The legislation would require public venues with a capacity of more than 100 people to introduce training and measures to combat terrorism or face sanctions.
It now appears it will be passed by Parliament in the coming year.
