But one hair and scalp specialist has shared her own clip explaining why - in her professional opinion - that this may not be true.Samantha Stewart MIT, qualified trichologist at London’s Spencer Clinic and one of the founders of CURLiD and has 30 years of experience with the South Kensington-based Clinic.

A trichologist specialises in problems relating to hair and scalp disorders and diseases, so it's safe to say that Samantha knows a thing or two about hair growth.Sharing a clip on the @curlidandme TikTok page, she began by rejecting the common belief that rosemary oil is a “miracle, wonder oil” that causes hair to grow inches "in a short space of time".

While she did say that the oil has good properties, it only works if it is mixed with another carrier oil.In fact, Samantha went on to warn others of the negative effect the oil can have on your scalp if it's applied undiluted.As reported by My London News, Samantha said: “Rosemary essential oil has many wonderful properties but the simple fact is just applying rosemary oil to your scalp will not help your hair grow.
