He was 58. A native of Southern California, Largent was an enthusiastic golfer as a teen, and he met the general manager of the Los Angeles alternative-radio powerhouse KROQ while working at a country club. Impressed with Largent’s knowledge of music, the GM offered him an internship at the station that led to a full-time role in 1985. He rose quickly through the ranks and was named music director in 1989. In 1992, Largent left the station to take a VP of music programming post at MTV, where he soon began hosting “120 Minutes.” That show, a 1990s Sunday-night tradition on the channel, expanded the genre’s reach nationwide — and Largent’s. Bury Council have denied claims made by one of the town’s MPs that they plan to reduce one of the major roads in the town centre to a single lane in each direction. In a recent newsletter, Bury North MP James Daly said a section in the council’s Bury town centre masterplan suggested what he termed a ‘ridiculous’ plan to narrow Angouleme Way to one lane in each way in order to increase spaces for cyclists and pedestrians.

Jones’ Free Speech Systems, which is the parent company of online outlet Infowars, filed a Chapter 11 reorganization plan Tuesday with a bankruptcy court in Texas. Under the proposal, which requires court approval, Jones’ company expects it would have $7 million to $10 million per year after expenses to pay creditors, including the Sandy Hook families.
