Jay Leno rushed to hospital suffering 'serious burns to face after car bursts into flames'
Jay Leno, 72, is in a burn centre after suffering a serious injury to his face, it has been reported.The star was apparently in a Los Angeles garage where he stores his cars on Sunday when one of the cars unexpectedly burst into flames. The left side of the star’s face was reportedly burned, but it is understood that the fire thankfully did not penetrate his eye or ear. He was rushed to the burn ward at a Los Angeles hospital and his specific condition remains unknown. The star is reportedly still in hospital and has cancelled all of his engagements for this week, TMZ reports. Jay was due to appear at The Financial Brand conference yesterday, but organisers described a "very serious medical emergency" that prevented him attending. The TV host was unable to travel to his scheduled performance at the conference in Las Vegas yesterday, People have also confirmed. The former Tonight Show host was unable to attend due to a health issue, according to an email to Forum 2022 attendees from The Financial Brand."His family was not able to provide us very many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that is preventing Jay from travelling," the email stated. "All we know is that he is alive, so our prayers go out to him and his family tonight."Express.co.uk have contacted Jay’s representatives for comment.Jay has bravely opened up about his health in the past, speaking in 2019 about his battle with high cholesterol after he was shown a scan of a blockage in his heart.The star worked in collaboration with Cholesterol 911 in a bid to persuade others to change their lifestyles for the better.He said at the time: “We really want people to see the connection, because a lot of people don't realise high cholesterol. “And if
