Zara McDermott has shared how she felt forced to delete one of her latest social media posts as she addressed being 'ripped apart' for something she didn't actually say.

Those who follow the former Love Island star may know she's a fan of cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Due to her love of cooking and baking, Zara set up a secondary social media account on which she shares her latest meals and recipes but can often be found posting food-related updates to her main account too.

So on Wednesday (May 8), the Strictly Come Dancing 2023 contestant shared a post to her Instagram Story in which she shared a picture of her delicious-looking vegan chill rice bowl and spoke about how she's trying to incorporate more vegetarian and vegan meals into her diet. "Social media is a strange place," Zara started by saying. "Saying something as simple as 'I don't want to consume as much meat anymore because I don't like the thought of it and I've turned a blind eye to the realities of it' seems to have upset a few people.
