New format announced as Paisley's Halloween Festival to return this October

Ghoulishly gothic goings-on have been declared for Paisley’s Halloween Festival – as details have been revealed of the town’s seasonal festivity.Renfrewshire Council has confirmed the spooky spectacular will take place across three days at the end of October with “vampires” set to soar above Paisley Abbey as part of the fun.They’ve made this year’s theme “Gothic Halloween” and good use will be made of Paisley’s medieval abbey.Paisley’s annual Halloween Festival is one of the biggest in the UK – regularly attracting tens of thousands of visitors – and will return this year with a new format.The award-winning festival will see three nights of spectacular street performers and specially-created spooky installations, set against the backdrop of the town’s 850-year-old abbey.The Halloween Trail Zone will be a one-way system, with a queue to enter, around Paisley Abbey where visitors can explore specially-created attractions including Frank & McStein’s Fire Show, Spooky Bat Cave and Raven’s Realm.Renfrewshire Live, the new free app dedicated to bringing you around the clock breaking news, is now available to download.Powered by the Paisley Daily Express, Renfrewshire Live is your go-to source for news, features and sport with live coverage provided direct to the app, seven days a week.The dedicated team of experienced journalists, responsible for the publication of the award-winning Express, will focus on breaking news, day and night, across Renfrewshire’s towns and villages.There is also a dedicated St Mirren section that will follow every kick of the ball with the Buddies.
