No further information about the film have been shared.The quick turnarounds were a regular feature of the franchise’s early instalments, with films commonly being released in consecutive years.The tenth instalment in the Saw franchise, Saw X, was only released in September.

Saw and Carrie.In a thread started by Redditor Chocolate-lord69420 on the “horror” subreddit, fans were asked to name the movie with the most distressing ending sequence or shot.“For me it’s the ending of Saint Maud,” the original post read. “I don’t know why that did so much to me but… I’m pretty new to the genre.”The thread has since received over 1,400 comments, with other films listed including 2000’s Requiem For A Dream directed by Darren Aronofsky and James Wan’s Saw.“I am super obsessed with this franchise but nothing beats the first movie,” a commenter wrote regarding 2004’s Saw.

Saw X, the latest instalment in the gory horror franchise, got into hot water with the Los Angeles police recently when he was working with the volume too loud, director Kevin Greutert has revealed to NME.According to Greutert, First Assistant Editor Steve Forn was finishing the sound design for a particularly horrible scene in the new film at his office in North Hollywood, LA. The scene in question involves an “eye vacuum trap” from which the character must escape or risk losing his sight.

Each victim, strapped into his or her loopy-ingenious electro-medieval Rube Goldberg slicer-dicer-chopper-gouger, is being put through the agonies of the damned only because of some sin that he or she committed in the real world. The whole concept of sin, articulated this heavily, is more than a little corny (that’s one reason I think the seven-deadly-sins premise of David Fincher’s “Se7en” is that film’s most rickety dimension, rather than its most dramatic), but there’s no denying that in the “Saw” movies the concept serves a canny purpose.

For the first time in franchise history, Saw X will actually establish the location it is set in and director Kevin Greutert is opening up about setting the horror film in Mexico.

The “Saw” franchise is the brainchild of writer Leigh Whannell (who co-starred in the original film) and director James Wan crafting a new kind of slasher with John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, that debuted back in 2004. A deranged dying villain that attempts to teach his victims to appreciate their lives by forcing them to do unspeakable things to survive various death traps and puzzles.

EXCLUSIVE: While there’s been whispers of films possibly moving out of 2023 into 2024 and beyond due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, it’s hands off for horror film franchises, particularly Lionsgate’s Saw X.

EXCLUSIVE: Veteran Saw cast member Shawnee Smith is circling the newest installment in the billion-dollar horror franchise from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, which is currently in production in Mexico City, Deadline hears. 

Tobin Bell has closed a deal to reprise his role as Jigsaw Killer John Kramer in the next Saw film from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, which is heading into production later this month.

William Earl While the “Saw” franchise lost some cultural cachet after releasing nine films over 17 years, it’s remained a great party franchise for horror fans. Living and dying by Jigsaw’s gruesome traps, the overarching story has become increasingly convoluted in the pursuit of keeping the elderly (and, midway through the series, dead!) antagonist’s work alive.

(This article contains some spoilers for “Spiral: From the Book of Saw”)I would say that, overall, “Spiral: From the Book of Saw” is a worthy successor for the “Saw” franchise. If you’re gonna insist on making one of these that doesn’t follow up on any of the stuff from the original seven, this is a good way to go about it.
