Demand for Nike and Adidas keep profits at JD Sports on track to pass £1billion
manchestereveningnews.co.ukProfits at JD Sports are on track to pass £1billion after demand for Nikes, Adidas and other branded footwear and apparel has continued to push up its sales.
The Greater Manchester-headquartered group has reported a revenue of £4.7billion for the six months to July 29, 2023, up from £4.4billion during the same period in 2022.
Its pre-tax profits have also increased from £298.3million to £375.2million. JD Sports added that it is on track to open over 200 new stores across the world by January 2024. At constant exchange rates, organic sales growth was 10%. In addition, we have continued to open new JD stores worldwide and are on track to meet our full-year store targets. "We are acutely aware of how tough the macro-economic environment is for consumers across the world.
