dailyrecord.co.ukNorth Lanarkshire Council has published proposals for the physical regeneration of communities over the next five years.The Economic Regeneration Delivery Plan (ERDP) for 2023-2028 sets out how the local authority will deliver new housing, town centre regeneration, business and industrial developments, improved road and active travel infrastructure, and digital connectivity.Among the projects being taken forward are continued investment in affordable housing to reach the target of 5000 new council homes by 2035; town action plans for all eight town centres; supporting investment in modern commercial premises; ongoing delivery of the Glasgow City Deal programme; and creation of an affordable, accessible digital network.“North Lanarkshire’s economy is continuing to grow, with new businesses setting up and existing companies expanding, creating jobs and bringing investment,” said council leader Jim Logue.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
