[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content] A well-known tech executive was stabbed to death in San Francisco on Tuesday. Bob Lee, who was one of the co-founders of CashApp and a longtime Silicon Valley leader, was murdered in the Rincon Hill area of San Francisco very early on Tuesday morning.
He was just 43 years old. Related: Murder Suspect Found Stabbed To Death — Allegedly By The Victim’s Son According to reports, Lee — who was presently serving as the chief product officer for a company called MobileCoin — was walking in the Rincon Hill neighborhood near the Bay Bridge at about 2:30 a.m.
local time on Tuesday. At that time, police received a 911 call about a reported stabbing in the area. When they got to the scene, they found a man who had been stabbed and severely wounded.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but died of his injuries once there. The medical examiner’s office has not released the name of the murdered man, per CBS News.
