On March 22, the Duchess of Cambridge, 42, announced via a video statement that she was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year following a planned abdominal surgery.“The King” author told Fox News recently that Carole has been pitching in with the Wales’ kids — Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, — to help give them “a semblance of normality in their daily lives” as Kate undergoes chemotherapy.Carole has also been a great deal of support for William, as she “has been the closest thing to a mother [he] has.”William’s mother, Princess Diana, died in August 1997 at the age of 36 in a car crash when he was 15-years-old.“She has always been there for him as much as he has for Kate.
