Scots family battling black mould for 9 years as water 'drips from walls'

A Scots family who have been left battling black mould for nine years say they feel they have been "ignored" by a housing association.Amanda Allison, 27, says the family moved into their Drumchapel home 12 years ago but a mould infestation has since impacted their health.

Three years into their stay at the property they started to notice something wasn't quite right. Water started dripping from both the ceilings and walls in a number of rooms - and these damp patches quickly turned into black mould.

It swarmed daughter Amanda's room, her wardrobe, her parent's room and some cupboards in the kitchen - and the situation has since become so bad that Amanda was forced to move her mattress into the living room just before Christmas.The family say they have called Kingsridge Cleddans Housing Association on a number of occasions since 2015, and have been told they are battling an ongoing condensation problem.

Amanda told Glasgow Live: "It's an adapted house because my dad has a disability and uses a wheelchair. The first few years were fine and then we started to experience damp and mould.
