Alexisonfire dig deep on heartfelt new single ‘Sans Soleil’

Alexisonfire have released the second single from their upcoming comeback album – listen to ‘Sans Soleil’ below. The Canadian post-hardcore band’s latest track follows ‘Sweet Dreams Of Otherness’, the lead single from ‘Otherness’, their first full-length project since ‘Old Crows/Young Cardinals’ in 2009.Tapping into some deeply heartfelt lyrics, penned by Alexisonfire guitarist/Gallows frontman Wade MacNeil, ‘Sans Soleil’ explores topics including love, hope, self-deprecation and the support of others during dark times.“It’s easier to love someone else/ Than it is to be kind to yourself/ What’s harder is to let someone in/ You loved me when I couldn’t love myself/ I couldn’t love myself,” Dallas Green sings on the song’s second verse.Frontman George Pettit said of the track: “Wade came in with the lyrics for this song around the same time he had been working on the Dooms Children record and I feel like it shows. The Dooms Children album touched on a lot of things extremely personal to Wade and this song is definitely in that vein.”MacNeil added: “This song is about hanging onto hope during the heaviest times. Healing and letting go.

Lisa Armstrong to 'elope' with boyfriend after 'cringe' wedding to Ant McPartlin
Lisa Armstrong has reportedly hinted that she wants to elope with her current partner to avoid another "cringe" wedding. The former Deuce bandmate and makeup artist met I'm a Celeb presenter Ant in 1994 before he popped the question during a holiday in Dubai in 2005.They tied the knot at a country house hotel in Buckinghamshire a year later and Ant's co-presenter Declan Donnelly assumed the role as his best man. However, after 11 years of marriage, the couple called it quits in 2018 and Ant agreed to hand over an estimated £31 million to his ex-wife.Lisa, who is the head of make-up and hair for BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, began dating James Green in 2020.The duo have been inseparable ever since they started their whirlwind romance, and Lisa seems happier than ever following a challenging few years. It looks like things are well and truly on the up in the romance department as the loved-up couple are reportedly now ready to say "I do" and planning a summer wedding on a tropical island.Lisa is said to want the "complete opposite" of her first wedding to Ant and has even been "dropping hints" about eloping.“She looks back at her wedding pictures with Ant and cringes, as it was so formal,” a source told Heat magazine.Instead of a star-studded ceremony, the 45-year-old reportedly wants to keep things intimate with just close friends and family and stay clear of "a big showbiz wedding"."She doesn’t want anything big or traditional like that – she thinks it’s embarrassing when you’ve already had a big wedding," said the source."This is a completely new chapter of her life – she wants something different.”Lisa and 38-year-old James announced they were dating last year and friends have said the dad-of-two is a “perfect match”
