Man arrested after Scots street locked down by police for almost 12 hours

A man has been arrested after police cordoned off a quiet Edinburgh street yesterday for almost 12 hours. Officers were alerted to the incident on Barn Park Crescent in Wester Hailes just after 9am, with a police presence seen on the street throughout much of the day and into the evening.

Tape sealed off part of the street, with a number of vehicles and officers in attendance as the events unfolded, reports Edinburgh Live.

Officers left the scene at around 8pm, after the arrest of a 41-year-old man.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.20am on Thursday, May 11, 2023, we received a report of concern for a person at a property on Barn Park Crescent, Edinburgh."Officers attended and a 41-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
