Queen Camilla wipes away tears of laughter as royal trip to Samoa comes to an end
Already well-known for her wicked sense of humour, Queen Camilla had a difficult time keeping it together as she wiped her eye after crying with laughter during a farewell ceremony at Siumu Village as heavy rain impacted the final day of the royal visit to Australia and Samoa.The Queen, dressed in an elegant blue and white dress and a pink floral garland, was clearly enjoying herself as she prepared to say goodbye to the island after a four-day visit.The funny pictures come after Their Majesties attended the annual Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting with other world leaders and dignitaries, including Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer. On his last evening in Samoa, the King spoke fondly of his connection to the Commonwealth, stating: "The Commonwealth can surely be a source of hope." He also mentioned that despite "dark clouds gathered", tackling global issues requires global cooperation and that "dialogue and discussion" are key to finding peace.The King dressed in a Red Sea rig shirt featuring designs from the Samoan School of Fine Art, while the Queen looked elegant in an embroidered blue tunic and palazzo trousers by Anna Valentine, complemented with diamond earrings.
