Lanarkshire MSP promotes apprenticeships in traditional building skills

MSP Clare Adamson is encouraging North Lanarkshire schools to engage in workshops promoting apprenticeships in traditional building skills.This week, Ms Adamson took part in a skills demonstration hosted by the Scottish Traditional Building Forum and, in a Parliamentary question, she asked what the Scottish Government is doing to promote Modern Apprenticeships in her Motherwell and Wishaw constituency.The workshop allowed school pupils from across Scotland to try their hand at a range of skills including stone masonry, slate work and roofing, woodworking, electrical wiring, and historical conservation work.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
