King Charles III's former butler believes it's "very possible" that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will eventually relocate back to the UK, despite the pair's ongoing attempt to distance themselves from the Royal Family.

Grant Harrold - who worked as Charles’ butler from 2004 to 2011 when he was Prince of Wales - told the New York Post this week: "I’d never say never, it’s always possible that one day he might want to come home.

It’s possible that he might buy [a property] here if he wanted to come over [more] and Meghan didn’t want to come over." The 45-year-old former Royal member of staff added of the Duchess, 41: "Meghan doesn’t really have any family here as such, all her family are in the States and that’s where Harry has decided he wants to set up his home.

Grant - who now works as an etiquette expert, broadcaster and Royal commentator - also insisted that Harry is "always going to have an association with the UK" and will never "totally want to cut that off", adding: "He’ll always want to keep his fingers in that pie". "He’ll want to have that association with Britain just in case one day he does want to come back," he continues. "And I don’t think Harry will want to sever ties." Fellow broadcaster Andrew Marr last week claimed that if the couple did return to Britain, they'd have an important role in modernising the Royal Family.
