Addiewell archer Nathan Macqueen is targeting European gold after scooping World silver. The 32-year-old admitted he was feeling ‘mixed emotions’ after being edged in the final of the recent World Para Archery Championships in the Czech Republic - and now has his sights set firmly on the upcoming European Championships in Rotterdam later this month.Macqueen was in fine from in Pilsen as he finished the qualifying event in eighth place before tallying a string of tremendous displays to book his first-ever World Championship final.Sadly, it wasn’t to be for the two-time Paralympic Games ace as he fell by two points to Italy’s Matteo Bonacina. His success also secured Team GB a spot in the men’s open compound event for next summer’s Paralympic Games in Paris - which he’ll be favourite to take.As the dust settles on his World Championships, he admits he’s starting to see the positives after initially struggling with having missed out on a gold medal.Speaking to the Courier, he commented: “I was actually really down at the start.
