Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Stirling CAB launches volunteer recruitment drive as demand for services surges

Stirling Citizens' Advice Bureau is looking for volunteer advisers and receptionists to come on board for its Spring intake as the charity aims to help more people than ever.The organisation - which helps provide advice and key services for those struggling - is set to launch its latest training programme for advisers on April 14, with anyone able to get involved, whatever their knowledge or qualifications.The charity says the training will help those taking part become a confident adviser, with the help of a constantly updating information system to work with.Training consists of three months of Friday morning sessions conducted via Zoom and around 30 online modules, with volunteers then being asked to come into the bureau for at least three hours a week to shadow current advisers.It is a role which requires a time commitment from those interested, with a minimum level of six hours per week for trained advisers - conducted either via one full day or two half days working directly with the public.The advice service is open 10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday and expenses are paid to volunteers.A spokesperson for the charity said: "Due to the impact of the pandemic and ongoing cost of living crisis, there has been a substantial increase in the demand for advice from members of the public all over Stirling district."Stirling Citizens Advice Bureau is therefore now seeking to additional recruit volunteers to train as both advisers and receptionists."Anyone can volunteer.
