Sir Rod Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster have decided to sell up their homes in the US after branding it 'toxic' and a 'nuisance way of life'.The Maggie May singer decided to put their £56 million mansion in Beverly Hills on the market, after he complained he no longer has any “privacy”, writes The Mirror.Rod, Penny and their sons Alastair, 17, and Aiden, 12, have no plans to go back to the US and will stay in their £4 million Essex mansion instead.Rod and his family returned to the UK in 2016, leaving their stunning European-style mansion in Los Angeles behind, but has no plans to return.Penny, who volunteers as a police officer in London, is said to want to mainly focus on her dream job and apparently no longer wants to deal with the “nuisance” of commuting from Los Angeles to London.A source said: “Penny loves the life she has made away from America and away from LA.

She enjoys nothing more than working for the police force."They added: "“She also finds traveling to be more of a nuisance than anything and wants to just live her life as a working mom."Yesterday, we reported that Rod had put his swanky abode on the market.
