Prince William's bizarre first gift for Kate Middleton that she will never 'let him forget'

This is why the Firm are known to buy novelty gifts for one another over the festive period with some previous presents including a leather toilet seat, a 'grow your own girlfriend kit' and even a shower cap with the words "Ain't life a b****".While these gifts are generally supposed to be utterly bizarre, there is one present that Prince William bought for his wife Kate Middleton in the early days of their relationship that she has reportedly never let him forget.The Prince of Wales revealed what his strange offering was while on a podcast with Peter Crouch, OK!
reports.While Kate has previously opened up about William's attempts to impress her in the early days of their romance with his cooking skills, it seems he tried to win her over in another way too which was not quite as successful.Appearing on a special episode of Peter Crouch's podcast in support of the Heads Up campaign in 2020, the two men exchanged stories about some of the gifts they had bought their wives over the years.After the former England player admitted to buying his partner Abbey Clancy a raincoat three years running, Prince William confessed: "I did get my wife a pair of binoculars once - she's never let me forget that."He added: "That was early on in the courtship, that was - I think that sealed the deal," as Peter laughed at his admission.
