A cannabis farm worth more than £1 million has been uncovered by police.Officers swooped on the property on Collett Street in Derker, on Wednesday, October 18, where the discovery of hundreds of cannabis plants was made.

The value of the cultivation is thought to be worth over £1 million.Two men, both aged in their 30s, have been arrested in connection.

Manchester Evening News reports that they remain in custody to be questioned.Greater Manchester Police said recent raids across the Oldham borough brings the total street value of cannabis farms seized by the Oldham team in the past four weeks to over £4 million.Chief Superintendent Phil Hutchinson from GMP’s Oldham District, said: “Our work in the past month alone is testament to how well our officers are doing at rooting out this issue.
