Poached eggs are a hugely popular feature of breakfast and brunch throughout the UK, as they can be served as part of so many different dishes.But no matter how good you are at cooking, poached eggs can be a difficult one to get right.
They are often significantly more fiddly to prepare than other egg dishes, such as fried, scrambled or boiled.There are plenty of tricks out there that promise to make the process easier, such as adding vinegar to the water or even investing in a handy egg poacher.
But according to Mary Berry, carrying out a few simple extra steps will result in 'perfect' poached eggs every time. The iconic chef shared her technique for poached eggs on her website, describing how they will always be 'worthwhile' despite taking a bit of extra care to make.
The Mirror reports that according to Mary Berry, you should start by bringing a pan of water to a boil, then reduce the heat and add in 'a dash of vinegar'.
