The actor was singing the praises of his fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh as his latest TV job keeps him away from her and their children.
Despite his time in the ITV competition being both physically and mentally demanding, the 39-year-old Ryan has revealed that "nothing is harder" than parenting two young children solo - something that Lucy, 32, has been doing since he has been performing live to the nation.
Taking to Instagram, Ryan shared a photo of Lucy, taken at their Greater Manchester home, alongside their son Roman and daughter Lilah. "Can’t wait to be back home with my family," the former Coronation Street star started the caption of his post.
