Having served in the Royal Navy and British Army for 10 years where she specialised in interrogations in countries including Afghanistan and Iraq, Nichola Tidd’s career has been beyond impressive.

However, her life took on a whole new turn one day thanks to one surprise message. After logging into LinkedIn one day and finding what she initially thought was a hoax request, things changed forever.

Now, Nichola is a star on Channel 4’s Hunted where she is a member of the Ground Hunters team as they attempt to catch the show’s fugitives during an intense chase. “I thought somebody was playing a prank on me because it's very different,” Nichola admits. “Whatever search they did flagged me up.

I'm guessing when they do search for new hunters they're looking for people that have a huge scope of expertise to bring to the table and I was just very fortunate to be one of those people.” Despite never considering the military as a career option when she was younger, it was a “crossroads” moment that made her turn to the role - though it’s clear that Nichola doesn’t regret a thing. “My father was in the Royal Navy and when I left school I was at a crossroads and just decided that that was the route and the footsteps that I was going to follow.
