Kylie Minogue has reportedly turned down the chance to perform at King Charles' Coronation later this year. A source close to the 54 year old told the Mail on Sunday that she has decided to turn down the Royal event after taking into account growing Republican sentiment in Australia, becoming the latest star to turn down the performance.

Allegedly, Kylie has been advised that the gig would not go down well with her fellow Australians, with the idea of constitutional reform ramping up in the months following Queen Elizabeth II's death in September.

The source told the Mail on Sunday that she was "approached by the team" working on the Coronation show, and there was some back and forth between the two - but ultimately decided to turn it down.

The source said: "Kylie has been an honorary Brit for many, many years, and admires the Royal Family and everything that they do.
