A local Mosque is inviting anybody who is struggling for food to join them in breaking their fast during Ramadan. The Faizan-e-Islam Mosque is running an 'Iftar programme' to help ease the burden of the cost of living for residents in the Old Trafford area.
The programme will be running once every week for the remainder of Ramadan. Leaders at the Mosque are also hoping to 'break barriers' by connecting with people who are keen to learn and understand more about the Muslim community and their faith.
Muslims are currently observing the holy month of Ramadan where they must abstain from food and drink during the day for 30 days.
The fast is broken at sunset with a large meal called 'Iftar'. READ MORE: How Vimto became a Ramadan tradition in the Middle East During the holy month of Ramadan, it is common for Mosques to provide meals for worshippers.
