Humza Yousaf 'could lose seat' at next Holyrood election with Labour making gains, new poll suggests

Humza Yousaf could be one of several SNP politicians at risk of losing their seat at the next Holyrood election, a new poll has suggested.

A survey of Scottish Parliament constituency voting intentions found the SNP on 39 per cent, a drop of eight points from December, with Labour on 31 per cent, an increase of seven.The poll by Panelbase - which was carried out while Nicola Sturgeon was still in office - put the Conservatives on 14 per cent, a drop of one per cent, with the Lib Dems on eight per cent and the Greens six.If the swing from the SNP was replicated across the country at the next election - not due until 2026 - it could see the Nationalists still emerge the largest party but also lose several constituencies in the process.Jackie Baillie, Scottish Labour depute leader, said: "The only poll that matters is the one on election day, but if I was Humza Yousaf I would be very worried.
