Emmerdale's Dan Spencer could be put behind bars following GBH charge

Emmerdale fans are fearing for the future of Dan Spencer after he dealt a violent and deadly punch to Amelia's stalker Lloyd after he spotted him back in the village.Dan had grown concerned over the safety of his teenage daughter Amelia after she struck up a friendship with Lloyd and the pair exchanged messages when she believed she was communicating with a woman as part of her online influencer career.Lloyd, who previously starred in the popular ITV soap as a Dingle family member, later turned up at Mandy Dingle's salon and terrified Amelia by cornering her when she was alone which prompted her dad to take matters into his own hands.In spoilers to come this week reported by DigitalSpy, there are "disastrous consequences" for Dan's brutal punch to Lloyd as he is rushed to hospital following the fatal blow at his new enemy as daughter Amelia warns her dad not to make things worse.It means Dan's future will hang in the balance as it is predicted he will face being slammed behind bars in jail, ignoring Amelia's advice and turning up at the hospital to check on Lloyd when he meets Lloyd's wife Julie.Later on, Dan is summoned back to the police station for further questioning on the incident when he is taken aback to hear his unwelcome visit to the hospital has worsened his case.DS Giles also warns Dan that they found nothing on Lloyd's electronic devices to suggest that he has broken any laws, which limits Dan's options for defending his attack which was sparked over the urge to protect his daughter.This increases the pressure on Dan when DS Giles challenges him to tell the truth, and despite continuing to defend himself scared and devastated at the situation he is formally charged with GBH.
