What time thunderstorms expected to hit Greater Manchester on Wednesday

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in Greater Manchester this week. According to forecasters, Wednesday morning will kick off with rainy conditions from 6am to 8am in Manchester.

Following this, conditions will settle slightly before showers pick up again from 10am. By 11am, conditions will be at their worst and this is when thunderstorms are expected to start.

While these may be intense and could temporarily cause travel disruptions, they are only expected to last for around an hour and should settle by 12pm, according to current Met Office predictions. More showery by the afternoon with some drier and brighter interludes developing. Windy and feeling cool for early August. Maximum temperature 19 °C." The thunderstorm warning, which covers most of Wales, the Midlands and up to Manchester, is in place from 9am to 7pm on Wednesday.
