A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms covering parts of Greater Manchester has been issued by the Met Office. The warning will come into place from 9am tomorrow (Wednesday) and last until 7pm.
Forecasters predict heavy rainfall and thunderstorms will hit parts of England and Wales. The downpours 'may cause some flooding and travel disruption'.

Parts of Stockport, Tameside, Manchester, Trafford and Salford are covered by the yellow warning. Heavy showers are set to fall overnight tonight in Greater Manchester, with persistent rain forecast from around 2am.
