Emmerdale fans disappointed as soap 'repeats old storyline'
ok.co.ukEmmerdale fans have voiced their upset, after the popular ITV soap has opted to cover a 'one-punch killer' storyline for the second time in five years.Tuesday night's episode saw Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) lose his temper with his daughter Amelia’s (Daisy Campbell) stalker Lloyd (Matt Sutton), and subsequently punch him in the face, causing Lloyd to fall down and hit his head on a rock.
And although it's yet to be seen if Lloyd will recover from these injuries, long-time viewers have shared their annoyance at the similarities between this storyline and a previous one from 2018.
In 2018, Cain Dingle punched Joe Tate after he left his daughter at the altar. Like Lloyd, Joe also fell back and hit his head on a rock.
Joe then used this opportunity to fake his death and fled the country. However, before discovering this, Cain, and other villagers, were convinced that the punch had killed him.
