Wishaw Neapolitan pizza shop claims Scotland's Best Pizzeria title at Italian Awards

An authentic Neapolitan pizzeria in Wishaw has been crowned Scotland’s Best Pizzeria title at the Italian Awards 2023. A Slice Pizzeria is a joint venture between experienced hospitality manager Simonas Griauzde, 34, and professional chef Carmine Barretta, 27.

The business partners met while working in a restaurant and their mutual passion for pizza led them to setting up their own eatery in Kilmarnock over a year ago.

Following the success, they also decided to bring their Neapolitan-style pizza to Wishaw earlier this year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
