A well-known hotel in rural South Lanarkshire will be converted into housing after councillors gave plans the green light.The Abington Hotel, which is now vacant, will be turned into nine homes ranging from flats and houses.The proposals were presented to councillors on the planning committee on December 12 and seek to demolish the extensions of the hotel including the front conservatory and cottage to develop the housing.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
