Rebekah Vardy’s ex-husband has spoken out about the infamous interview in which she referred to Peter Andre’s ‘chipolata’, and denies having any involvement.  During her tense High Court libel battle with Coleen Rooney this month, Vardy was quizzed about a newspaper interview she once gave to the News of the World about her alleged sexual encounter with Andre. In the interview, Vardy, 40, made disparaging remarks about Andre’s penis and compared it to a ‘miniature chipolata’. While giving testimony in the witness box, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star alleged: ‘I was forced into a situation by my ex-husband to do this. It is something that I deeply regret.’At the time, Vardy was in a relationship with her boss at a timeshare company, Steve Clarke, who later went on to become her second husband. However, Clarke has vehemently denied having any involvement in setting up the interview or pushing Vardy to do so. ‘Becky said to me, “Oh look, I should tell them about Peter Andre”,’ Clarke told the Mail On Sunday, recalling the moment Vardy saw a News of the World request looking for people with stories about contestants in an upcoming series of I’m A Celeb. He continued: ‘I asked her why she would want to do that and she replied that it would be a bit of money for her and it would be funny.

Rebekah Vardy has claimed her Wagatha Christie court battle against Coleen Rooney has damaged her career.Vardy, 40, has been suing fellow WAG Coleen for libel after the latter accused her of leaking her private information to the press in 2019.Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen accused the model of leaking the personal information via a private Instagram account.Vardy has denied the leaking accusations and is suing for libel, whilst Rooney is defending her claim on the basis her post was "substantially true".Ms Vardy has now claimed the Wagatha court drama has cost her a "potential book deal" which she had lined up but has now been "turned down".She also alleged she had a midwife company "lined up" to make placenta capsules for her after the birth of her daughter Olivia, her fifth child.A witness statement, as reported by the Mirror, revealed: "I had a midwife company lined up to make placenta capsules and they pulled out weeks before the birth".The documents were released to the public on Friday (May 20) after both legal teams agreed.Other pieces of evidence revealed included texts exchanged between MS Vardy and her husband, Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy.The conversations included Vardy's complaint that she had been made a "scapegoat" during the Euro 2016 and that news coverage of her made her "blood boil".Several posts from Coleen Rooney's private Instagram account were also made public, which included her celebrating her husband Wayne's birthday.There was also a photo of the ex England striker and three of their sons in bed wearing pyjamas. Vardy walked out of the Wagatha High Court case on Thursday - the penultimate day of the trial - after Rooney's lawyer claimed she "destroyed evidence".

Rebekah Vardy's agent appeared to confirm she had leaked stories about Coleen Rooney to the press in a string of texts.The messages from Caroline Watt appeared to refer to details of an alleged car crash Ms Rooney had been passed to a journalist.The jury at the "Wagatha Christie" court heard how an article published by The Sun claimed that Ms Rooney had crashed her Honda.A string of text messages between Ms Vardy and Ms Watt were then presented to the court where Ms Watt appeared to admit leaking the information to the paper.A viral Instagram post in 2019 saw Rooney accuse Vardy's Instagram account of leaking "false stories" about her to the press.Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy's wife has since made a libel claim against Ms Rooney, the wife of former England player Wayne Rooney.Rooney's barrister David Sherbourne raised an early 2019 article in The Sun to Ms Vardy about Ms Rooney being involved in a car crash.Three days earlier Ms Rooney had posted a picture of the damage to her Honda on her private Instagram account.Mr Sherbornethen read out an exchange of texts between Vardy and Watt where the agent claimed: "I would have tried to have done a story on Coleen but the evidence has been deleted."Halls is trying to do a story on Coleen crashing her car but her PR won't even reply.
