Man appears in court accused of murder of man in Levenshulme

A man has appeared in court accused of the murder of a man in Levenshulme. Samuel Obokiti, 29, appeared in the dock at Manchester Magistrates' Court this morning (Wednesday) wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey jumper.

He is charged with a single count of murder following the death of Osagie Harrison Aimiyekagbon, 36. Join our FREE Manchester Crime and Court WhatsApp group by clicking here Mr Aimiyekagbon - widely known as Harrison Marvin - suffered fatal injuries following an incident on Rushmere Avenue.

He was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene on Sunday evening (July 9). Mr Obokiti spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

No pleas were entered. The case was adjourned for a preliminary hearing tomorrow (Thursday) to be heard at Manchester Crown Court.
