Love Island’s latest bombshell contestant Scott Van-der-Sluis has quit his professional football team to enter the villa. The 22 year old goalkeeper is the latest hopeful looking to spice up proceedings on ITV2 dating show just days after two new women Leah and Charlotte caused chaos and split up couples.
Scott will enter the villa on Thursday night, 15 June, and he clearly has a lot invested in the show - after it emerged he had ended his contract with Dublin team Shelbourne FC so he could take part.
Scott, born in Wales, joined the League of Ireland Premier Division side as reserve goalkeeper in June last year. He has not played a first-team match in the league for Shels but he did play in a FAI cup game in August, keeping a clean sheet in a 4-0 win.
In November, he was signed for at least another year by club manager and former Chelsa star Damien Duff. But Scott has now been granted a release from his contract.
