Lanarkshire landmark redevelopment nears completion

The landmark regeneration of a historic Lanarkshire building is set to be complete by the end of the year. Airdrie’s former Orr’s department store site, on South Bridge Street in the town centre, is being converted to create 20 new council houses and two commercial units.

North Lanarkshire officials say the transformation is “continuing to take shape” and have now announced: “Handover of [the properties] is scheduled for December.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
