North Lanarkshire Council summer work placement programme is declared huge success

Talented young people from across North Lanarkshire have been recognised at a special awards ceremony after taking part in a summer work placement programme.The innovative six-week programme run by North Lanarkshire Council, welcomed 23 students from local high schools, priority groups and New College Lanarkshire to help prepare young people to become the workforce for tomorrow.

The awards ceremony took place in Motherwell on Thursday, August 9, to mark the end of the summer placements as many of the young people prepare to return to school and further education.
