A royal servant has quit his post after inviting shamed former North Lanarkshire Council leader Jordan Linden to meet King Charles III.But deputy lord lieutenant of Lanarkshire John Brown blamed Linden for failing to mention that he was being probed by police over sex assault claims.Brown nominated the disgraced local politician to attend the royal garden party in Edinburgh earlier this month and admitted that he has decided to step down as a result.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
