While running errands near her home in Montecito, California on Thursday, Meghan Markle was spotted with a small blue disc on her left wrist, which has now been revealed to be a 'stress-reducing' patch. The 42 year old, who recently enjoyed a night out at a Taylor Swift gig in Los Angeles, was seen looking effortlessly chic in a camel coat and white skinny jeans on her solo outing, with the patch easily visible just below the palm of her left hand.

It's now been revealed that mum-of-two Meghan, who shares son Archie, four, and daughter Lilibet, two, with husband Prince Harry, 38, was wearing the NuCalm Biosignal Processing Disc - a small patch designed to boost gaba neurotransmitters, reduce stress hormones and improve sleep.

The NuCalm Disc is priced at $80 (£63) for a pack of 20 or $400 (£315) for a pack of 100, which works out at around $4 (£3.15) per disc.

The small patch apparently acts as a shortcut to activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the part of the brain which can stop an anxiety attack and calm us down, by 'tapping into the body’s Pericardium Meridian with particular electromagnetic (EM) frequencies.' The NuCalm Disc claims to easily enable the nervous system to switch from 'sympathetic' mode to 'parasympathetic' mode - taking us from fight or flight to 'rest and digest'.
