, we mean it. It's not often we drop everything and turn our attention to one brand… unless we're talking about H&M, and, once again, they have not disappointed us.Pretty much anyone who works in fashion will tell you how major the label's drops are – need we remind you of the success of that ? – and no other retailer does it quite the same.

This season's offerings mark ten years of Studio and a new chapter for the limited-edition designs. Think decisive, daring, tailored-to-perfection silhouettes that will see you through every occasion that's thrown at you.“Our design team has created a collection that feels pragmatic but poetic,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design and creative adviser at H&M. “Premium qualities feature throughout the collection with tailoring, outerwear, and decorated denim that you’ll fall in love with instantly, and wear over and over, for years to come.”Inspired by fashion's taste for the thrilling simplicity of black (never has a truer statement been made), each piece is said to be imbued with the sophistication of film noir heroines. “We wanted to channel that pulled-together look with pieces that confer polish, but are practical enough to transition effortlessly between situations and seasons,” says Linda Wikell, concept designer at H&M Studio. For day: a tailored maxi with a nipped-in waist alongside a white shirt punctuated with an oversized bow.

For evening: embellished low-rise jeans and a matching jacket, or an A-line with a razor-sharp contrasting collar. And in the accessories department, you'll see several pieces making a welcome return from the Studio archives – all re-worked with modern twists.
