Four more men have admitted their role in shameful disorder across Greater Manchester, terrifying details of their crimes revealed in court.

A dozen thugs have now pleaded guilty to offences following incidents in Manchester city centre, Newton Heath and Bolton. More have been charged, but their cases have not yet been dealt with.

Some have pleaded not guilty and await Crown Court hearings. On Thursday (August 8), five more defendants appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court. A judge described the 'shameful and frightening civil disorder' the region had experienced. These are the latest Greater Manchester defendants to plead guilty... Joseph Ley, 30, attacked a black man with members of an ad hoc group in Manchester city centre at the weekend.

Mathieu’s more literary allusions, however, haven’t survived the journey to Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma‘s overlong, outwardly emotive but strangely unmoving film, which resorts to soap-opera mechanics in its saga of three youths variously affected over a six-year period by one rash act of teen delinquency.
