First picture of woman tragically found dead on railway line on Easter Sunday - two days after she was last seen outside bar

The first image of a woman tragically found dead on the railway line on Easter Sunday has been released. Colette Fazackerley was pronounced dead after her body was recovered near to the tracks close to Ashton Cricket Club on April 9.

British Transport Police launched an investigation and are now trying to trace her last movements. She was last seen two days before, at around 8.10pm on Friday (April 7), outside Bar 15 on George Street, Ashton-under-Lyne.

Colette had been reported missing the following day, on April 8. Officers attended after being called to reports of a woman near the tracks at around 3.55pm on Easter Sunday and pronounced the woman, now identified as Colette Fazackerley, dead at the scene.

Her death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
