Morning Live's Dr James welcomes baby with husband – and names him after show dog

TV's Dr James Greenwood - star of BBC's much-loved early-rise show Morning Live - has welcomed a baby boy with his husband Mark Titterton.The on-screen vet, 37, shared the joyful news on Instagram on Friday, posting a snap of the loved-up couple alongside their newborn son and their "incredible" surrogate, Rachael Davis.

Captioning the family photo, James wrote: "Here we go!!! We are all so thrilled and our hearts are bursting with joy. Introducing Oliver James Titterton-Greenwood, born 9.54 pm last night, 7.8 pounds." He continued: "Baby and Dads all doing great, more importantly so is our incredible surrogate Rachael - the most incredible human being on this planet who has blown us all away with her phenomenal generosity and incredible strength. "Our hearts are overflowing with joy.

James's Morning Live co-stars were quick to share more heart-warming pictures of the new father as they announced the news on air today.The team also revealed the sweet news that the newborn had been named after the one-eyed golden Labrador, Oli, who appeared on the show for two years before his death last year.

Lead presenter Gethin Jones told viewers: "You'll remember Oliver, who we lost six months ago now - and I just love it. Oliver was just so amazing, so gracious, so calm when we first started Morning Live. "He was so lovely and now we've got another little Oliver in the family!"
