Former FIFA ref Myroslav Stupar reckons Rangers used their Jefte red-card outrage to distract from the real problem in their defeat to Dynamo Kyiv.The Brazilian left-back was shown a second yellow with the score deadlocked at Hampden, and it ultimately changed the game with Dynamo going on to win 2-0 on the night.
The decision was universally panned, many arguing it wasn't even a foul as Jefte simply jumped to contest a header before being deemed by referee Marco Guida to have caught Oleksandr Karavaev with his arm.
Since it was a second booking, VAR was unable to intervene, and Philippe Clement led the post-match outrage branding the decision the worst decision he's seen in 30 years.
But Stupar, who had an 11-year career as a goalkeeper in Ukraine before becoming a FIFA-recognised referee for 14 years, came to Guida's defence.
