Pulp bassist Steve Mackey dies age 56 after three month hospital stint
Pulp bassist Steve Mackey has died aged 56.The star joined the well-loved band in 1989, with them going on to release hit tracks such as Common People, Babies and Disco 2000.The group are reuniting later this year, but it was announced in October that Steve wasn't taking part. As well as working with Pulp, Steve worked alongside a series of other huge names including M.I.A, Florence and The Machine and Arcade Fire.The band’s official Twitter page confirmed the news of his death. Steve died on Thursday, 2 March.They wrote: “Our beloved friend & bass player Steve Mackey passed away this morning.
