A dog walker was mauled to death by her own giant pit bull when walking eight pets, it's been claimed. Natasha Johnston endured horrendous injuries from "multiple penetrating bites" during the vicious attack in Surrey in January.

It was previously reported that the dog responsible for the 28-year-old's death was an American Bully XL. Following an investigation, the pet was destroyed.

However, now veterinary surgeon Dr Alison Robson - an expert court witness who examined Natasha's cause of death - has said that her dog Stan was a pit bull, which is one of four breeds banned in the UK by the Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991.

Months earlier, Natasha had reportedly rescued Stan after his owners planned to put him down because he bit one of their kids.
